How the Kasco Marine De-Icer Works
The Kasco De-Icer is designed to be suspended just below the water's surface from a dock or boat. It uses a high-performance motor to create upward water circulation, drawing warmer water to the surface and preventing ice formation. This continuous movement maintains an ice-free zone around docks and boats, effectively combating cold temperatures.

Place Your Kasco Dock De-Icer Anywhere You Choose
Your de-icer comes with 2 (20ft) mooring lines for suspended operation. You can also upgrade to other mounting options:
- Mount on a dock or piling with the Universal Mount Kit. Rotate the unit to change its angle and depth.
- Upgrade to the Industrial Mount Kit, made with stainless steel for harsh environments.

Suspension Ropes Included
Kasco de-icers come with (2) 20 ft. suspension ropes and are available in 1/2, 3/4, and 1 HP unit sizes.

C-20 Thermostat Option
The C-20 time and temperature controller allows you to set when the de-icer turns on based on temperature and time.

C-10 Thermostat Option
The C-10 controller uses an adjustable air temperature thermostat to control the de-icer.

Tips on Using Kasco De-Icer
Shallow Water De-Icing
To de-ice shallow areas, direct warmer water from deeper areas into shallower ones. Position the de-icer near deep water and angle it towards the shallow area to push warm water and prevent ice formation.

Boat De-Icing
For boats, install the de-icer at or near the bow, angled towards the stern. Larger boats may require multiple units. Hang de-icers from cleats or suspend them under the hull for effective results.

Dock & Pier and Shoreline De-Icing
When de-icing a dock, angle the de-icer to direct water towards the shoreline, creating a "T" shape de-icing pattern. This will increase the area of open water around the dock.

Water Fluctuations
In tidal waters, position the de-icer to accommodate changing water levels. Alternatively, tie it to a boat or floating dock to allow it to rise and fall with the tide.
