How It Works

This 2-panel solar aeration system uses direct sunlight to power a durable, variable-speed Franklin Electric motor—eliminating the need for expensive batteries or electrical infrastructure. The unit operates during daylight hours, gradually ramping up as sunlight intensifies, and shuts down automatically after dark.

The low-profile design circulates up to 200 gallons of water per minute, generating strong surface currents to oxygenate deeper pond zones and push debris and algae to shore. By increasing dissolved oxygen, the system supports fish health and accelerates the breakdown of organic waste, leading to a cleaner, clearer pond over time.

All-Season, All-Weather Performance

Built for year-round use, the Solar Boilermaker Aerator can be left in place during winter months to assist with de-icing. Its stainless steel, oil-free motor is built to withstand sub-zero temperatures, so there’s no need to remove or winterize the system—simply power it down and restart in spring.
